For those of you who don’t know me, I am getting hitched to a fine and loving man who is the daddy to two beautiful girls.  My “new life,” as I call it, has me entertaining these precious little ones 24/7. My new life also has me scrambling at times. Like, this Easter weekend which was also Spring Break.  You know, Spring Break. It happens each and every spring. I, of course, did not plan in advance like many other moms and dads who believe spring break is some sort of competition among parents. Hawaii, Atlantis, Turks and Caicos…seriously? I can’t compete. Why try. So my thinking is, plan something and act like it is the BEST VACATION EVER.  Well, thanks to WonderWorks in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, there was no acting – We had a blast!

And for all of you car lovers out there you can’t forget the famous Spring Rod Run April 15-18.

These are classes taught by local artisans, where participants can learn about basket-making, pottery, sewing and appliqué, rug hooking, and mandolin and flat picking guitar.  The classes will be held at the Townsend Visitor Center, 7906 E. Lamar Alexander Parkway, Townsend.  They will be starting January 9, and continuing through March 27.
