When thinking of a wedding in the Smoky Mountains the pictures that come to mind are more rustic settings, outdoors, barns, beautiful mountain backdrops, mason jars, bales of hay and maybe even some cowboy boots.  I’ve put together some photos that I believe would make a beautiful Smoky Mountain outdoor wedding.

{Barn reception with beautiful rustic flower arrangements and a hay covered floor}

{Beautiful rustic decorations are the perfect addition to this barn wedding}

{This cute lemonade stand would fit right in at a Smoky Mountain wedding}

{A rustic barn with a pretty mountain as a backdrop}

What do you think of when picturing a Smoky Mountain wedding?

We’re really starting to see the beginning signs of fall here in Pigeon Forge and in the Smoky Mountains.  The temperature has dropped and we’re now seeing highs in the 80’s (in the 70’s this weekend) and we’re event starting to see the slightest color change in the higher elevations.  There is just a touch of yellow leaves in our mountains, but that is just enough to get us excited about the upcoming fall season.

Coming up this week in Pigeon Forgeevents is the Grand Fall Rod Run which kicks off this Thursday and goes through the weekend and into Monday.  If you’re in Pigeon Forge now, you might start to see some of these classic cars start to roll into town for this big event.  Also, the Gatlinburg Taste of Autumn is this week and also the Dumplin Valley Bluegrass Festival.  If you’re not in town this week, be sure to check out all the other fall events that are coming up and you can plan your trip to Pigeon Forge around your favorites! Also, be sure to check out the Smoky Mountain Harvest Festival for more fall events and lots of fall fun!
