This will be the third year that Dollywood has offered Dollywood Nights with extended park hours each evening from July 30 -August 12. Extended hours will be through 10 p.m. and most rides will operate during the extended hours. This is a rare occasion to enjoy the park’s rides in the dark while spending some summer family fun in Pigeon Forge.

This week's feature friday is KOA Kampground in Pigeon Forge. A special thank you to owner, Ann Kelch for answering the following questions about the campground.

1.) The KOA Kampground in Pigeon Forge offers a variety of campsites to campers vacationing in Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Sevierville. Tell me a little history about your business.

The KOA was established in 1965 by the Kelch family and is now operated by the third generation.

2.) What sets KOA Kampground apart from other campgrounds in our area?

It's central location to Dollywood and Dollywood's Splash Country, music theaters and museums, Sevierville, Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

3.) What do your guest seem to love the most about staying at the KOA?

Clean, friendly fun and the great location.

4.) What do you think is Pigeon Forge's best kept secret?

How it got its name. In 1820 Issac Love, founded an iron forge, for half the name. The "Pigeon" is for the many passenger pigeons formerly there.

5.) What is your favorite way to spend the day in the Great Smoky Mountains?

Drag my feet in the river.

Book Your Getaway at KOA Kampground and make your own family memories! Call - 1-800-7703 Today.
