The fall colors are slowly fading away, there are still some colors in the lower elevations but for the most part we have seen just about all the color we are going to see this fall in the Smokies. This only means one thing – Winterfest is here! Last week TLC’s the Duggar family visited Pigeon Forge for the big Winterfest kickoff festivities. If you missed out on this beautiful fall season here in the Smokies, be sure to make it for Winterfest! The lights are beautiful at night and there is plenty to do during the day, you can always start on that Christmas shopping! We hope everyone enjoyed fall in the Smokies and are ready for winter!

Fall is here folks and the weather looks to be like it will be holding steady over the next couple of weeks.  So the leaves should be hanging around for a little bit, but not for too long! So make sure you are planning that trip to the Smokies as soon as possible if you don’t want to miss out on this season’s leaves! The weather is looking to be full of sun this week/weekend, so if you are here take full advantage and take a hike in the mountains, or drive out to Cades Cove and check out the wildlife! What ever you decide to do we hope you’re enjoying this beautiful time of year in the Smokies!

It is definitely fall here in the Smokies! The leaves are changing all across the mountains, and its starting to really cool off. We’re seeing scattered foliage all over the mountains, and the peak of the colors should be over the next few weeks.  Although we did have our first snowfall in the higher elevations last week, which has caused a lot of those leaves to disappear, the lower elevations still have beautiful vibrant colors! There are plenty of fun fall activities to participate in before we switch to the winter season, check out some fun Halloween celebrations, or maybe go camping before it gets too cold!
