A Mountain Quiltfest

The Smoky Mountains have a rich history of folk arts and quilting, dating all the way back to the first settlers who called the area home. Today, the Pigeon Forge Quiltfest serves as a way to protect and preserve the timeless folk art.
 
This year the annual celebration of quilting in Pigeon Forge, A Mountain Quiltfest, celebrates it’s 21st year. The 2015 Pigeon Forge Quiltfest will be take place March 18-21, 2015. By attending the event, visitors can admire the hard work, creativity and artistry that goes into the creation of these beautiful quilts.

 

A Mountain QuiltfestA Mountain Quiltfest in the Smoky MountainsFolk art appreciators and quilters of all levels attend this annual event, which draws crowds of up to 20,000 people into Pigeon Forge. Instructors, vendors and sponsors from all over the country will be on hand to answer all your quilt-related questions. Additionally, visitors can observe a special showing of quilted items and see method demonstrations. Quiltfest offers A Mountain Quiltfest, an event of Winterfest in the Smoky Mountainsthe unique opportunity to see not only creative quilts by highly talented quilters, but also an opportunity to attend classes and lectures taught by some of the nation's most recognizable names in quilting and fabric arts.
 
Professional and amatuer quilters will have a chance to compete for more than $18,000 in cash and prizes to be given away during the Mountain Quiltfest event. For more information, including how to enter your design, please call the Pigeon Forge Special Events Office at (865) 429-7350.
 
Organizers have made special arrangements for Quiltfest students to participate in a FREE shuttle service sponsored by FUN TIME TROLLEY which continuously operates between all official Quiltfest-related sites and classrooms beginning at 8:00 am each day during the event.
